New Year's Eve Around the World - GOOGLE - Special Education - Reading - Writing

Many students are unaware of the different New Year's Eve traditions people all over the world have. This DIGITAL activity highlights FIVE different countries and their traditions in an easy to understand format. Students then have an opportunity to demonstrate their comprehension skills in an engaging worksheet that assesses their understanding in a simple and fun format. 

This activity is specifically formatted to be used with Google Drive and is compatible with Google Classroom. Google Drive is an amazing resource that many educators are now using as an interface to support 1:1 digital instruction in the classroom. I pair it up with Google Classroom (a free website) that allows me to digitally send each student in my class a copy of the worksheets that they later submit to me for grading. With this lesson, students get to type their answers directly on the screen and paste images from the internet to answer the questions. It is an amazing paper-free process and the kids LOVE working on these worksheets on the computer.
