Martin Luther King - Special Education - Reading - Writing - Black History Month
Martin Luther King Jr. was such a historic person and one that all students should have a chance to learn from. Many of my students are unfamiliar with the Civil Rights Movement and can get easily overwhelmed with the amount of information available online to them. This PRINT AND GO activity was created as a simple way to introduce them to these very important historical times in a manner that is both meaningful and relevant for them.
This is an excellent lesson to integrate real world reading, writing, and social studies skills all into one activity. Although initially designed for special education students, any teacher looking to provide their students with a brief introduction to Martin Luther King Jr. would benefit from the simple vocabulary and engaging tasks included with this purchase.
