Gaining employment is a goal for many students. In the workplace, there are various social situations that require insightful responses from employees. For students with disabilities, these scenarios can be very tricky to successfully overcome. This activity is specifically formatted to be used with Google Drive and is compatible with Google Classroom. Google Drive is an amazing resource that many educators are now using as an interface to support 1:1 digital instruction in the classroom. I pair it up with Google Classroom (a free website) that allows me to digitally send each student in my class a copy of the worksheets that they later submit to me for grading. It is an amazing paper-free process and the kids LOVE working on these worksheets on the computer.

I have created this digital packet to hopefully fill a void - I know I needed something for my students to practice role playing conversations in a structured but realistic and fun way. Students are able to easily type in their answers into the color coded yellow boxes. How I Use This In My Classroom:

Depending on my students' abilities, I like to either do these together as a large group (for students with lower reading/writing skills) or work on them more individually (for students with higher reading/writing skills). Either way, the discussions that come from each social situation in the workplace trigger insightful conversations with every student. It is through these conversations that we delve into deeper topics like workplace friendships, self-advocacy skills, and clear communication as well.
