Life Skills - Shopping - Coupons - Money - Math - Grocery Store - Unit Six
Knowing how to use coupons in a store is an important life skill for many students to master. With this activity, you will get access to two differentiated levels of worksheets where students practice calculating the price of items after using a coupon.
In version one, students will look at a coupon and calculate the final cost of an item (ex: original price $3.89, coupon is $1.50 off) by using subtraction. Version two is a little bit more difficult and has students calculate the price for things like "2 for $5" or "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" deals. This activity requires NO PREP and is an excellent way to integrate real world reading and math skills into daily instruction.
