Buying your first car is one of the major goals all of my students have in class, and I'm sure yours are no different. With this product, students will get a chance to DIGITALLY look at ten different car ads and answer comprehension questions about each of them.

This activity is specifically formatted to be used with Google Drive and is compatible with Google Classroom. Google Drive is an amazing resource that many educators are now using as an interface to support 1:1 digital instruction in the classroom. I pair it up with Google Classroom (a free website) that allows me to digitally send each student in my class a copy of the worksheets that they later submit to me for grading. Students simply type their responses in the digital boxes! It is an amazing paper-free process and the kids LOVE working on these worksheets on the computer.

Additionally, students will be given they an opportunity to pick their favorite car and calculate the monthly payment for it (using a traditional 5 year long loan period). As an extension activity, I also included a worksheet where students are encouraged to look at insurance rates and figure out how much their yearly premium would be. At the end of these scaffolded worksheets, students will have a much better idea on what cars cost and how much they can afford!
