Life Skills Reading + Math: Car Payments and Insurance - Moving Out

Buying your first car is one of the major goals all of my students have in class, and I'm sure yours are no different. With this product, students will get a chance to look at ten different car ads and answer comprehension questions about each of them. Then they will pick their favorite car and calculate the monthly payment for it (using a traditional 5 year long period). As an extension activity, I also included a worksheet where students are encouraged to look at insurance rates and figure out how much their yearly premium would be. At the end of these scaffolded worksheets, students will have a much better idea on what cars cost and how much they can afford!
