Life Skills Reading: Buildings, Floors, and Directories

Many of my life skills students struggle with reading and fully comprehending various kinds of directories they may encounter in their life. Directories in buildings, airports, and elevators all serve as crucial points of information that help us get to where we need to go! This product is aimed at helping students understand this concept in a simple and visual way. I have scaffolded the lesson to start from the very basic understanding of different floors/levels in a building. From there, students build up to answering comprehension questions using actual images taken of directories. This is a great lesson to incorporate into daily functional learning, and also a phenomenal means of integrating data for IEP goals.
