Help your students practice their money counting skills with this DIGITAL activity! Students will practice figuring out the next dollar up amounts for a variety of random totals. Two separate levels are provided with this purchase. The first level has students calculate the next dollar up for totals under $20. The second level has students practice this strategy with totals under $50. Students will be able to type their responses into the text box and are given both immediate visual and auditory feedback. An animated GIF is included to help remind students of the correct format to enter on each slide. 

This activity is specifically formatted to be used with Google Drive and is compatible with Google Classroom. Google Drive is an amazing resource that many educators are now using as an interface to support 1:1 digital instruction in the classroom. I pair it up with Google Classroom (a free website) that allows me to digitally send each student in my class a copy of the worksheets that they later submit to me for grading. With this lesson, students are able to type their answers directly onto the digital task cards. It is an amazing paper-free process and the kids LOVE working on these worksheets on the computer.
