This DIGITAL activity has students practice completing a variety of household chores. This is a very interactive and age appropriate way for special education students to practice real world life skills. A variety of household tasks are included with your purchase.

This activity is specifically formatted to be used with Google Drive and is compatible with Google Classroom. Google Drive is an amazing resource that many educators are now using as an interface to support 1:1 digital instruction in the classroom. I pair it up with Google Classroom (a free website) that allows me to digitally send each student in my class a copy of the worksheets that they later submit to me for grading. With this lesson, students get to interact directly with the digital worksheet by typing and moving objects right on it. It is an amazing paper-free process and the kids LOVE working on these worksheets on the computer.

Although this is a great activity to practice following directions and functional reading skills in a real world setting, this set can also be used to lead a conversation around household tasks and the steps required to do them correctly. You can ask students how often each task should be done, where the task takes place, what supplies you would need, etc. All of these are great ways to engage students to more meaningfully interact with the lesson in a manner that makes sense to them.
