Life Skills - Halloween Task Cards - Dollar Up - Reading - Math - GOOGLE
These DIGITAL task cards present students with real world math and reading skills that they will need while shopping for candy this Halloween season. Students will be asked to read the labels on each bag of candy to figure out how many pieces are inside and what the dollar up cost will be to purchase it.
This activity is specifically formatted to be used with Google Drive and is compatible with Google Classroom. Google Drive is an amazing resource that many educators are now using as an interface to support 1:1 digital instruction in the classroom. I pair it up with Google Classroom (a free website) that allows me to digitally send each student in my class a copy of the worksheets that they later submit to me for grading. With this lesson, students get to type their responses directly onto the digital task cards. It is an amazing paper-free process and the kids LOVE working on these on their devices.
A total of FIFTY task cards are included with your purchase. A total of 25 of these task cards focus on students finding the total pieces of candy in a bag. The other 25 focus on students calculating the dollar up price for each bag. The task cards will fit in 4 x 6 containers for easy storage.
